TRAINING AND BEGINNINGS

Born in Australia, Locke Venturato received intercontinental training at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne and at the Hamburg Ballet School, where he also gained stage experience in pieces such as A Midsummer Night's Dream by John Neumeier. His first engagement took him to the Aalto Ballett Essen, where he has already appeared as a soloist, including as Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty and in the ballet-rock fusion Rock around Baroque by artistic director Ben Van Cauwenbergh.

In the 2022/23 season, he was a member of the dance company at the Tiroler Landestheater. There he danced in Lorca and The Great Gatsby, among others, under the artistic direction of Enrique Gasa Valga. Locke became part of the Gauthier Dance Company in the 2023/24 season, where he danced pieces and premieres by Sharon Eyal, Andonis Foniadakis, Mauro Bigonzetti, Hofesh Shechter, and Ohad Naharin, among others.

Locke has been part of Limonada Enrique Gasa Valga Dance Company since the 2024/25 season.
